  18. I expect this has been tossed your way before, but do you have the
  19. value of "MaxTransfer" set to a value a kilobyte or so below the
  20. "cache" buffer on the drive?  Setting MaxTransfer above it can lead
  21. to overrun problems in the write phase.  I've had it work ok for
  22. days, then eat half the data on the drive the next.
